Outfit & Shoes
Jane is heading to a 70’s themed party. I don’t know of if this is possible, but it would be great if she could wear that sexy yellow romper (Big Bird) she wore in the recent VW Bug driving video posted on the PTP site. The shoes could be the same yellow shoes from that video as well or some other 70s style wedges if those aren’t available. To complete the look, it would be great if she could a wear a wide 70’s style hair band and the large hoop earrings she has worn in several videos.
Scenario
Camera Angles, Action:
Jane is running late for a 70’s themed party and she is borrowing a friend’s classic VW Bug to complete her ‘look’. She arrives at his house only to find it won’t start.
The video will mostly be filmed from the backseat behind the passenger seat and outside the open driver’s side door. From both locations the camera should get full body shots with some close-ups on her legs focusing on her bouncing thigh. As usual, I would not want any feet close-ups.
The Bug should be rigged not to start at all. Jane should start out with normal length cranks because she is expecting the car to start up. As the video goes along and it becomes apparent it doesn’t want to start, she should hold the key longer and longer and pump it harder and faster. Jane is a great pumper so she can just do her thing with full leg pumping (no ankle pumping) and some holding to the floor mixed in. Please be sure the seat is adjusted up far enough so she can comfortably reach the pedal without stretching and we get good leg action.
Script
Filming begins from the passenger seat of her car (or one of the others) as she is pulling in the driveway. She parks near the Bug and is excited to be able to borrow it but comments she is already running late. She quickly checks her phone for the instructions her friend has left her about the keys and then grabs her purse and quickly gets out. The camera films her as she gets out of her car and fades as she is hurrying over to the Bug.
The camera fades back in filming from the backseat between the seats of the Bug as Jane climbs in. She gets in quickly, puts her purse out of the way, finds the keys in the glove box (or visor) as instructed and then begins trying to start the car. It won’t start. She tries over and over again. As she goes along, she holds her cranks longer, pumps it faster and harder, and holds it to the floor, pumps some more, etc. She is getting more and more concerned about being late (not angry). She cranking and pumping urgently. The camera is getting full body shots from between the seats and several close-ups of her bouncing leg as she is pumping it.
About half of the way through, she decides to get out and go around back to take a look under the hood although she doesn’t have a clue what to look for. The camera fades as she gets out the car.
The camera fades back in and is filming her as she is looking helplessly in the engine compartment. She has no idea what she is looking for so she gets back in and leaving the door open, tries again to get it started. She tries over and over again but it won’t start no matter what she does. The camera is getting full body shots from outside the open driver’s side door as well as some close ups of her bouncing thigh.
After trying repeatedly, she realizes the car is not going to start so she grabs her phone and calls her friend. She gets his voice-mail and tells him she’s been trying for 5 minutes, pumping the gas, flooring but it just won’t start. She thanks him anyway, tells him she will put the keys back where she got them and hangs up. She grabs her purse, quickly gets out and heads back towards her car as the camera fades.
