Jane & Vivian Overheating Flooded Cranking the Coronet in Heels

This is the behind-the-scenes leading up to the “Jane & Vivian Breakdown at Ralphie’s” series. The Coronet is already running hot after Jewels revs the shit out of it during the “Jewels Killin the Coronet Motor” series. If you do a search for “coronet overheat”, you’ll find various clips we did while we had the Coronet this way. Made for some good stuff but this ultimately ruined the engine.

I’m filming outside at first as the steam from the blown radiator is coming out from all edges of the hood. Vivian is trying to get the car started so she can get it into position down the driveway for a shot of them limping the Coronet to Ralphie’s garage. Vivian can’t get the car started so she swaps with Jane, who is finally able to get it started  and eventually down the driveway. The car stalls when they’re out of my view and when you watch from the in-car view, you can see that it stalled and she’s trying to get it started again.

She is able to get the car fired up again and she manages to get it up the hill and parked in front of this old barn we were using as Ralphie’s shop.
